Background:

There is a clear need to ensure that foreign capital is distributed across CA more evenly to achieve balanced economic and social development. South Korea is Asia’s fourth largest economy and home to some of the largest institutional investors in the world. Hence, South Korean FDI can create synergies with the recent co-financing facilities established within the Bank. In this regard, the legitimacy and credibility of the Bank can serve an essential role to further mitigate risks arising from uncertainties in the region.

Main Objetive:

Develop an investment structure that will serve as a vehicle to channel capital to Central American countries from South Korean institutional investors who have the intention and desire to invest in the region.

Expected Outcome:

The establishment of a private equity fund that will serve as an investment vehicle of the region. The total value of the capital raised by the fund will increased the flow of capital into Latin America for economic and social development of the region.
