Project information

Background:

Central America (CA) is one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change. Extreme flooding from Hurricane Eta and Hurricane Iota in all countries damaged roads and bridges, cutting off key transportation routes and limiting access to critically affected communities. South Korea is a good example of key public infrastructure development in the context of climate action and has accumulated valuable experiences.

Main Objetive:

Strengthen CABEI’s capacity to support the countries that have been impacted by the devasting effects of climate change, natural disasters, by supporting the Bank identify and prepare investment programing and projects that support redevelopment, considering climate adaption measures.

Expected Outcome:

Upon the completion of this project the recipient countries will have recommendations to support their strategic planning considering climate sustainability and resiliency will be produced. As well as, it is expected that the vulnerability of the region’s is reduced through investment projects against the impacts of climate change. Hence, contribute to the growth of the national economy and  the improvement of livelihoods in Central America.
