Background:

Considering the challenge of attracting and retaining capable and reliable human talent, the traditional role of the HR departments and IOs has been to implement and coordinate policies and procedures from recruitment and training to compensation and performance assessment of their personnel. HR departments in Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) today not only carry out the processes above but also advocate for employee motivation, strengthen capacity in country offices, apply results-based performance frameworks, implement project-oriented guidelines, while promoting gender equality and constant improvement

 

Main Objective:

Transfer South Korean knowledge and best practices to the Bank to Human Resource Development and Management (HRDM), as well as enhance the Bank’s institutional capacity via implementation of HRDM, Governance Best Practices and HR Systems.

 

Expected Result:

Support the modernization of the Bank’s HRDM system, thereby strengthening its efficiency in achieving the Bank’s mission and objectives whilst ensuring meritocracy, equality, transparency, and accountability in the day-to-day undertakings of the Bank.
